ActiveX install?
« on: February 02, 2013, 07:45:45 pm »
I'm having a problem where sometimes my screen will black out and I get a message
that a 'nVidia display driver kernel 296.10' has failed but recovered.

IU go to nVidia to check for driver updates and they want to install an ActiveX thingy to
scan my pc for the correct card. I have an old one so it's not listed generally.

Is it safe to install the ActiveX control?
And how do I get rid of it when it's done.
Stuck here....little help??

many thanks,

Solved my own problem. Anyway the auto scan by nVidia failed to detect my drivers so...that's that. Thanks....
